 RITE OF FIRST RELIGIOUS PROFESSION

Presider:  Jennifer Cortez
Jennifer:  Here I am.

Presider:  Jennifer, at this stage in your life, here in the presence of the sisters of the Congregation, in the presence of your family and friends, what do you ask of God and God’s Church?

Jennifer: I ask for the grace to follow Jesus Wisdom in the Congregation of the Daughters of Wisdom.

R/ Thanks be to God.

Presider:  Jennifer, by your baptism, you have already been consecrated to God, incorporated in the people of the covenant and sent as witness to the love of God. Do you want to deepen your consecration through your religious profession?

Jennifer:  Yes, I do.

Presider: To follow Jesus Wisdom more closely, and in fidelity to the call of your baptism, do you want to live in obedience, poverty and chastity for the Kingdom of God?

Jennifer:  Yes, I do.

Presider: Let us pray: God our Father, look with kindness on Jennifer, your servant, who surrenders herself to you today. May her whole life be an answer to your love, through Your Son, Jesus Wisdom.
